BC Curriculum

To me, the BC Curriculum is about supporting meaningful, student-centered learning. I appreciate that it allows teachers to be flexible and responsive rather than following a strict checklist. Its focus on big ideas, core competencies, and real-world connections aligns with the kind of classroom I hope to create. I want to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and personal growth. I see the curriculum as a supportive framework that helps me design lessons that are both engaging and relevant. It gives me the tools to help students build the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.

I regularly refer to the BC Curriculum website to support my lesson planning and to deepen my understanding of the learning standards. You can explore the site here.
